I’m drawn to creating close-up portraits of African wildlife because of the power they hold. Wide-angle wildlife photography, when used with intention, pulls the viewer directly into the environment and creates a sense of immediacy that borders on confrontation. It’s meant to unsettle in the best possible way. By combining intimate proximity with expansive context, my goal is to place the observer inside the moment close enough to feel the breath, the tension, and the raw truth of the scene as it unfolded.
